La Brioche (2906 N. State St., 601-988-2299)

La Brioche will have treats such as chocolate eggs with truffles inside, Easter chajas, which are almond cakes infused with amaretto syrup and coconut pastry cream, and entrements (multi-layered mousse cakes) specially decorated for Easter. The patisserie is not open on Sundays.

Sugar Magnolia Takery (5417 Highway 25, Suite F, Flowood, 992-8110, sugarmagnoliatakery.com)

Sugar Magnolia Takery has cookies and petit fours decorated with bunnies, Easter baskets and Easter egg designs.

King Edward Hotel (235 W. Capitol St.)

The King Edward Hotel will have an Easter Sunday Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is $32 for adults and $15 for children ages 5 and older. For reservations, call 601-969-8537.

Primos Cafe (2323 Lakeland Drive; 515 Lake Harbour Drive, Ridgeland; primoscafe.com)

Primos Cafe locations will have bunny-shaped cookies and Easter-colored petit-fours. The restaurants will not be open Easter Sunday.

Whole Foods Market (4500 Interstate 55 N., wholefoodsmarket.com)

Whole Foods has a ham meal for six that includes a spiral-sliced ham, orange-glazed tri-color carrots, roasted garlic potatoes and grilled asparagus. It also has entrees such as a bone-in and boneless leg of lamb, a rack of lamb, a whole turkey and dill-roasted salmon; sides such as green-beans almondine, roasted garlic and rosemary potatoes, and spring pea orzo salad.

Saltine Oyster Bar (622 Duling Ave., 601-982-2899, saltinerestaurant.com)

On Easter Sunday, Saltine will offer a special menu that includes entrees such as rabbit Scotch eggs in addition to the regular menu. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Sweet Stuff LLC (307 Clinton Blvd., Clinton, 601-906-1583)

Sweet Stuff has sweets such as candy, Rice Krispies treats and Easter baskets as well as springtime items such as footballs, sidewalk chalk and more.

Char Restaurant (4500 Interstate 55 N., Suite 142, 601-956-9562)

Char will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and will serve from its regular menu.

Mississippi Children's Museum (2145 Museum Blvd., 601-981-5469, mschildrensmuseum.org)

The museum will host the Mad Hatter Tea Party on Saturday, March 26, featuring characters from "Alice in Wonderland" performing a scene from the story from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children can get their pictures taken with characters, learn about tea-party etiquette and take part in egg dying and other Easter-related science experiments. The event also includes a tea taste-testing activity. The event is included with general admission or free for museum members.

Nandy's Candy (1220 E. Northside Drive, Suite 380, 362-9553, nandyscandy.com)

Nandy's has a wide assortment of chocolate treats that include caramel divinity eggs; peanut butter and chocolate whipped eggs; chocolate bunnies in milk, white and dark chocolate, either hollow or solid; personalized eggs with the recipient's name written on them; white-chocolate carrot suckers; personalized Easter baskets; plush bunnies, lambs and ducks; Easter petit fours; and more. The shop is not open on Sundays.

Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum (1150 Lakeland Drive, 601-432-4500)

The museum is hosting an egg hunt on Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 3 to 18 and free for children under 3. The egg hunt begins at noon and is open for children age 12 and under. Eggs will be hidden across the museum's grounds and will contain candy and small toys. The event will also feature a carousel, wagon and train rides, complimentary hotdogs, pictures with the Easter Bunny, egg dying, face painting, and games such as egg rolling, ring, and bean bag tosses, jump roping and an egg relay.

City of Jackson Easter Egg Hunt

The City of Jackson is hosting an Easter egg hunt for children ages 4 to 8 on Saturday, March 26, at the V.A. Legion Softball Complex (4500 Officer Thomas Catchings Sr. Drive). The event will feature food vendors and live entertainment on site, though participants have not been named yet. Some of the eggs will contain golden tickets for prizes provided by radio stations 99 WJMI and WKXI. The event is free. Participants must arrive 30 minutes before to be able to hunt eggs. Mangia Bene BRAVO! Italian Restaurant & Bar (4500 Interstate 55 N., Suite 244, 982-8111) is open 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sal & Mookie's New York Pizza & Ice Cream Joint (565 Taylor St., 601-368-1919) is open 11 a.m to 3 p.m.

Broad Street Baking Company (4465 Interstate 55 N., Suite 101, 601-362-2900) is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will have a sugar-cookie basket, strawberry cream-cheese king cake and hot cross buns.

Cookin' Up a Storm (1491 Canton Mart Road, Suite 1, 601-957-1166) For Easter, Cookin' Up a Storm will have dishes such as mustard dill-deviled eggs and chutney, pecan and goat cheese-deviled eggs; scalloped pineapple; strawberry bread and poppy-seed bread with an orange juice glaze; and breakfast casserole.

Two Sisters' Kitchen (707 N. Congress St., 601-353-1180)

On Easter Sunday, Two Sisters' will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Just Plain Good Cakes, Cheesecakes and Catering (7126 Siwell Road, 601-371-1933)

For Easter, Just Plain Good customers can order edible Easter baskets with candy. Customers should order as soon as possible, and the cut-off date is Wednesday, March 23.

Jaco’s Tacos (318 S. State St., 601-961-7001, jacostacos.net)

On Easter Sunday, Jaco's will serve brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu includes double-stuffed French toast, breakfast fajitas and more.
