High on Thai at Mellow Mushroom

Mellow Mushroom (275 Dogwood Blvd, Flowood; 601-992-7499) is running a "High on Thai" promotion through July 14. During this time Mellow Mushroom is offering a menu of specialty Thai dishes including salads, hoagies, pizzas and desserts. Dishes include chicken curry pops, a sriracha veggie-crunch hoagie, "Thai Dye Pizza" and drinks such as the "Thai One On" and "Siam Cooler."

Backyard Burger Reopens After Renovations

Fondren's Backyard Burger (2601 N. State St., 601-362-5223), which had been closed for renovations, reopened May 19. The renovated restaurant features two new additions: Hazel Coffee, a new business created by Backyard Burger local owner Bridgforth Rutledge, and the renovated building also houses a Smoothie King. Backyard Burger is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and serves Black Angus burgers, chicken sandwiches, turkey burgers and specialty items such as the Back Yard Dog and the Original Smoked Sausage. Fischer Galleries New Location

Fischer Galleries (3100 N State St., 601-366-8833) is moving to a new location this fall. According to owner Marcy Fischer, the new location will still be in Fondren and Fischer Galleries will be operating out of a temporary location until the permanent new location is finished, but neither location can be disclosed at this time. The gallery will be available for consultations and sales during the transition.

"Hang Out" with SBA and Industry Experts

As part of National Small Business Week from June 17 to June 21, the U.S. Small Business Administration is hosting a series of GooglePlus "Hangouts" with social media companies, mentorship organizations and small business experts.

All of the sessions start at 3 p.m. CST and you can watch live at these three locations.

Small business owners can use the hashtag #SBW2013 to tweet questions for the panelists. No prior registration is required to watch.

Topics and panelists include:

• Tuesday, June 18: Managing Your Business' Online Reputation with panelists from Yelp, LinkedIn, OpenSky, Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp., Google and Manta.

• Wednesday, June 19: How a Mentor Can Help Your Business with panelists from the SBA's Office of Entrepreneurial Development, Small Business Development Centers, and Women's Business Centers. NFL entrepreneur Fran Tarkenton will moderate.

• Thursday, June 20: How to Get a Business Loan includes panelists from Wells Fargo, SCORE, SBA's Office of Capital Access and SBA loan recipient Ninkasi Brewing Company. Calvin Goings, SBA's Region 10 Administrator, will moderate.
