The fifth annual Mississippi Blues Marathon features live entertainment and events for runners and non-runners alike this weekend. The marathon kicks off with a pre-race Blues Expo at the Jackson Convention Complex from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and continues with a special edition of "Downtown At Dusk" at the Old Capitol Green next to the War Memorial from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a performance by nationally acclaimed Elvis impersonator Brandon Bennett. On Saturday, the marathon kicks off at 7 a.m. in downtown Jackson, so if you aren't competing, make sure you support the athletes as they run through the city. A map of the marathon's route is available at the Blues Marathon website. After you cheer for the runners, head to the Mississippi Museum of Art for Natchez Day where you can learn about the history and culture of Natchez, Miss., starting at 10:30 a.m. Later, head out for a night on the town for the Blues Marathon show at Martin's with performances by The Bailey Brothers and Scott Albert Johnson at 7 p.m.

Start you Sunday off with a trip to the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science for the last chance to see the Megalodon Shark exhibit. The museum is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
